Oncology in pets is a difficult but very important topic. Unfortunately, oncopathologies in pets have also become very common, just like in humans.
Most often, oncology in animals occurs at an advanced age (after 7-8 years); in non-castrated ones - at a young age, regardless of whether the animal was born or not.
Tumors of the mammary glands in females and prostate/testicles in males are the most common, and oncology of internal organs and skin is less common. In such cases, a complete diagnosis of the pet's health is carried out (blood tests, ultrasound of the abdomen and heart, x-ray of the lungs) and, depending on the condition of the animal and the severity of the case, therapists, surgeons and anesthesiologists of our hospital select a treatment scheme, analgesia, surgery and anesthesia (if necessary).
